BRITAIN’S REVENUE.
£12,000,000 BELOW .EXPENDITURE. BY CABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT. - LONDON, October 1. The revenue returns for the first half of the year to September 30 show that the revenue is nearly £12,000,000 below the expenditure, compared with a surplus of £3,000,000 revenue above the expenditure in the corresponding period of 1923.
The newspapers give prominence to the figures in view of the Labour administration, but they point out that it is not safe to draw definite conclusions, as the second half of the year, may possibly alter the position.
