PARK CROQUET CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Hawera Park Croquet Club was held on Tuesday at the Borough Council Chambers, Mrs. L. A. Bone presiding. The balance-sheet, showing a profit, was duly read and adopted. The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. L. A. Bone; vicepresidents, Mesdames Parkes and Godfrey; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. J. Harding; committee, Mesdames Tait, Shaw, King, Murdoch and Nurse Dix. The opening day was fixed for Wednesday, October 15, when all intending members are cordially invited to attend. Votes of thanks were accorded the Park caretaker for attending to the lawns, the Borough Council for the use of the room for meetings, and the secretary for services during the past season. The meeting concluded with a hearty vote of thanks to the chair.
