Received Oct 1, 11.25 a.m MELBOURNE, Oct.' 1. The wool sales continue. Merinos advanced, about 15 per cent., compared with the closing rates last- season. Finer comebacks showed 15 ner cent, advance, and fine crossbreds" 10 per cent. Lambs’ woo! showed a similar advance.
MELBA’S RECOVERY. ADELAIDE, Oct. J. Melba, has sufficiently recovered from her recent illness to permit of her reappearance in opera. She was enthusiastically received.
