FLEET 'ARRIVE HOME

LONDON, Sept. 29. The world cruise fleet has arrived, and the Australian light cruiser Adelaide entered Portsmouth.. The crew were delighted with the fleet’s comradeship. The Adelaide’s teams were most successful in sjjbrts, and won the squadron aggregate for’ the best allround sporting team. They also won the squadron shooting, and were only beaten in the tug-o’-war and rowing. The personnel will be welcomed in London on Wednesday. '•To mark the return of the squadron, His Majesty has promoted RearAdmiral Field to be a Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George, and appointed Flag-Captains Im Thurn,, Pipon, and Captain Parker to be Companions of St. Michael and St. George.
