A GALLANT DEED.
RECOGNISED AT FEILDING. (EY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) FEILDING, Sept. 30. The Mayor (Mr. J. S. Tingey) last night, before a large assemblage, presented the Royal Humane Society’s bronze medal which was awarded to Ronald T. B. Eade for an act of bravery .011 January 22. On that date, at Ivakanki, Mrs. Managh, of Halcombe, got into difficulties in the Rangitikei River in rescuing 'her little daughter, Miss Ward, of Marton, waded out and saved the girl. Eade dived off the railway bridge 32 feet into the water, fully clothed except for his coat, and rescued Mrs. Managh. He applied resuscitation methods successfully. Eade is a member of a- well-known swimming family, and lost -two brothers at the war
