At the Police Court, Walter Fraser Sherriff Harneiss was given a total of six months’ gaol on charges of drunkenness while in charge of a motor-car, unlawfully converting a car to his own use,"and damaging the car. The police evidence showed 'that a car was commandeered by accused at the top of Dowling Street. It was driven downhill at 50 miles an hour and crashed into a building. It was mentioned that during the past few ; weeks five motors commandeered in an identical way.
