THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day the indications are for easterly winds, moderate to strong prevailing. Mild and hazy conditions, with scattered rain probable. The weather conditions are threatening northwards. The barometer has a falling tendency. Sea and tides moderate.
