TRIBUTES TO DECEASED. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. I WELL IAGTON, Sept. 29. The Wellington Bench and Bar, at the opening of the Appeal Court this morning, paid n tribute to the. memory Of the late Justice Sir J. Salmond. A large attendance of the Bar was presided over by the Chief Justice. At-torney-General Bell, voiced regret at the death of Sir John Salmond, and spoke in highly eulogistic terms of him as a jurist and author. His genius had stamped itself on' the statutes of the country. Sir Robert Stout added a tribute, in which he said Sir John Salmond’s. last work, on contracts, when published, would be one of the inost valuable treatises in English history. The Court' adjourned for one day in respect to the deceased judge’s memory.
