TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Wednesday and Thursday, 24th and 25th instants. Present: Messrs J. Cook (chairman), S. Blake, C. J. Ryan. N. R. Cleland, J. W. H. Martin. ' The following application to purchase the freehold was approved: Sections 4, 5 and 13, block V., Hawera, Mrs C. M. M. Riddle. Proposals for the expenditure of thirds by the Ohura, Inglewood, Clifton, Stratford, Eltham and Patea County Councils were approved. The application by Mr J. Caddy for permission to subdivide his E.R. lease, ag -L ~.c _ '

The following application to purchase the freehold was approved: Sections 4, 5 and 13, block V., Hawera, Mrs C. M. M. Riddle.

Proposals for the expenditure of thirds by the Ohura, Inglewood, Clifton, Stratford, Eltham and Patea County Councils were approved. The application by Mr J. Caddy for permission to subdivide his E.R. lease, block 46, town of Opunake, was approved. The following applications to transfer were approved: Section 4, block X., Opunake, Registrar to H. McCann ; part section 30, block VIII., Ngaere, L. H. Rowe to E. W. Todd; sections 11 and 4, block XI., Mahoe, E. Marfell to G. Spence. Twenty-nine applications under the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act. were considered, and of these seven applications to transfer were recommended, one deferred, and one refused; six applications for advances for stock were recommended, two deferred, and five refused.—News.
