INJUNCTION SOUGHT. \ rfY CABLE—PBESB ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT Received Sent. 29, neon. NEW‘YORK, Sept. 28. To test the validity of the United States’ Rum Treaty with Britain for establishing a twelve-mile limit, a suit has been entered by the Neptune As T soeiation (an organisation of American officers) to seek an injunction restraining the Cunard Company from-bringing liquor within United States waters and the seizure of all liquor brought to this port regardless of tne Treaty, w-hich. is declared to be a violation of the Constitution and also of the prohibition law. The association also declare that the treaty lias caused a heavy loss to American steamship operations, as -passengers avoid American dry ,‘boats, preferring the British, while many United States vessels have changed to British registry.
