STOCK SALES. ADDINGTON MARKET. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 24. At Addington market to-day entries were smaller in the fat cattle market, which recovered as a result to the extent of about 2s 6d per 1001 b. Fat sheep were in normal supply. A good sized line came from Marlborough province, and improvement was recorded also in this section. Spring lambs.—Values were generally from 28s to 32s 6d, odd lambs making up to 38s. Fat sheen.—The market opened firmly and improved, but fell away over the final stages. Values all round were about 2s per head better. Extra prime wethers 58s to 635, a special 78s. prime wethers 51s to 565, medium 47s to 50s 6tl, light 41s to 465, inferior 38s 9d to 40s, extra prime ewes to 555. prime 46s to 50s, medium 4].s to 455, light 37s to 40s, aged 30s to 365. Fat cattle.-—The market recovered to the extent of about 25s a head, concluding firmly. Specially good beer to 465, prime 40s to 445, medium 36s 6d to 39s 6d, light 32s 6d to 36s Id, rough down to 255. Extra prime heavyweight steers £lB 10s to £2O 12s 6d, medium weight ’ prime steers £l6 to £lB, medium £l3 to £ls 15s, light £lO 10s to £l2 10s, rough £8 to £lO, extra prime heifers £l3 ss. prime £lO to £l2 10s, ordinary £7 15s to £9 15s, evtra prime cows £l2 12s 6d, prime £9 5s to £ll 10s, medium £7 to £9. Dairy cattle.—Good cattle met with fair demand.
