MINING FIELD.

RUMOURED IMPORTANT FIND

Reports are current in Wiianfavei regarding a rich find that has' Tveii inade in the Puhipuhi mining area. JJetads are meagre, but :t is stated that extremely high results had been shown in an, assay from stone taken out of a lode outcropping. The assay is reported to show high values l of both gold and silver. Years ago a lot of mines were worked on the Puhipuhi held, but in those days it was looked upon as a silver proposition. If payable gold has been located the find is one of great importance, as it would warrant the assumption that lodes which in the past were not found rich enough to be remunerative, may carry payable gold at a depth. ;
