WAVERLEY.

R.S.A. A meeting of the conpnittee of the Waverley branch of the R.S.A. was held in the Town Board room on Monday evening, Mr. C. E. Johnston presiding. The chairman said that the main/ business of the evening was to appoint ! a secretary, vice Mr. Kingsfoi’d, who had left the district. Air. Kingsford would' be a great loss to the association. He had very successfully, carried on the affairs of the association during liis term of office. After some discussion, Mr. Johnston moved that Messrs. Wales and Catanach wait upon Mr. D. Forsyth to see if he would accept the position. The motion was seconded by Mr. Old and carried. Mrs. Murray, wife of the late Mr. W. Murray, wrote asking if. she .was eligible \for a Avar widow’s pension. The president said that enquiries were being made, and Mrs. Murray would lie notified as early as possible; The treasurer reported that the as T sociation’s' credit at the bank was £43 15s, including £l7 3s 6d unemployment fund and £9 10s lid entertainment fund. The treasurer was- authorised tc ppst notices to all unfinancial members.
