DEATH OF WELL-KNOWN SHEEPBREEDER. (by telegraph-press association.) FEILDING, Sept. 24. Private advice has been received of •the death in a private hospital at Avondale ,of Mr Ernest Short, the famous Romney Marsh and Hereford breeder, of Parorangi, Feilding. He had been ailing for a long time. He was a world-famous breeder, having won the world’s championship with Romneys at the Argentine Exhibition about 12 years ago. FIRE AT BLENHEIM. BLENHEIM, Sept. 24. Fire totally destroyed a six-roomed house, owned by Harry Rogers and occupied by R. W. Bowden, situated just outside the borough. On the day previous the brigade was called to an outbreak at the Same house. Insurances are: £SOO on the house and contents.
