FIRST ROYAL SHOW.

The Railway Department announces that excursion rates will be available over the main lines and their branches throughout the North Island for the above event. Special stock trains will be forthcoming wherever sufficient inducement is pffered, and those who contemplate exhibiting at the First Royal N.Z. Show not having prize lists should immediately apply to the secretary, P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North. These publications are issued free on application. Time slips away quickly, and the date of entries closing will be along before it is realised. The Manawatu Kennel Club, schools, cookery, needlework, photography, etc., entries close on 4th October prompt. Live stock and competitions close on llth October. Great interest is being evinced, some entries having already been received, and all nidications point to a booming success for the first Royal (N.Z.) Show.
