In the course of a letter to the Chamber of Commerce, Mr James Begg traversed the present system of State (Advances with special reference to the sale of houses by returned soldiers who had acquired properties 'with the assistance of State loans. He suggested that in Order to terminate the condition -that, enabled the recipients' of Government loans to realise the capital conferred on them that these loans should autoinati'eally, mature arid' be liquidated- 'oil a transfer taking place on the basis of the riiarket value of the property and '.monetary: accommodation. The Chamber decided to make a suggestion on a remit to the next conference.
