CONTESTS IN AUSTRALIA. VISIT OF NEW ZEALAND CREW. BY CA Bn—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT Received Sept. 23, 10.10 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 23. Ine Queensland Rowing Association •discussed the New South Wales Association’s suggestions that a Queensland ciew should, take part in the races in connection with the proposed visit of a New Zealand crew about March next. The proposal was that after meeting New South Wales and Victoria the visitors should return to Sydney ami row Queensland and New South Wales. On a visit to any State inviting them the State issuing the invitation is to pay expenses. Queensland derided that financial obligations could be undertaken, as their funds were required more urgently' for other purposes. It was'suggested 1- that the matter be referred to the Australian Rowing Council shortly to he formed.—Ans.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
