FIRE AT TURKISH BATHS. (BY TELEGRAm—PH ESS ASSOCIATION.} . WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. Late on Saturday night a fire in Berke and Ramsay’s Turkish baths in Courtenay Place did considerable damage. The building was insured for £IOOO and the contents for £6OO in the Sun Office.
PATIENT ESCAPES FROM HOSPITAL.
WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. A middle-aged Maori named Reuben John escaped from the hospital, where he was undergoing treatment. At the time of his admission John, who is a driver by occupation, was serving a year’s reformative detention for theft, The police are now searching for him.
