THE FUNERAL. CEREMONY. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 21. The funeral of Sir John Salmond took place this afternoon. A church service was conducted by Archdeacon Johnson at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, who also officiated at the grave. There was a very large assemblage, including practically all the prominent members of the Bar and all the Supreme Court Bench in Wellington. The Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey), Sir Joseph Ward, and Sir Francis Bell were also present. The pall-bearers included three K.C.’s.
