TRAWLER AFIRE.

NO ONE ON BOARD. OCCUPANTS PROBABLY ESCAPE. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 21. The captain of the Maori, which arrived here from Lyttelton this morning, reports that shortly after leaving Lyttelton a small vessel, believed to be a trawler, was seen to he on fife. A boat was lowered and rowed close to tlie burning vessel, which was'then a mass of flames. There was no sign bf life on board. It is believed the occupants had escaped in boats.
