Advice has been received that the auxiliary ketch Elsie, which left Hokitika. for Okura on Monday, ktranced at Jackson Bay at :ioon on Tuesday, ten chains north-east of the landing. It is presumed that ’-he vessel iart to the hay for shelter owing to a r.citberly blowing. All aboard are safe, and it is expected to refloat- the ketch next spring tides.
