ORGANISATION SOCIETY’S REPORT. We report a heavy yarding at Hawera on Thursday, the 18th inst., which was practically all cleared under the hammer at prices satisfactory to the vendors. A heavy yarding for this season of the year of ‘ from 55 to 60 head of fat cattle met already market. Two pens of prime P.A. cows from down the coast made £8 Is and £7 18s 6d, 3-year prime Hereford heifers on behalf of the Tonks Estate £8 10s and £6 7s; also on behalf of the same vendors we sold a pen of prime shorn wethers, which made 355. In the dairy pens quality and condition was againsought after, "best heifers making up to £l7. Buyers for yearling heifers were present, and this class of cattle showed a slight improvement and found ready buyers up to £3 18s. All the sheep, fat and store cattle were sold under the hammer. AAe quote: Prime shorn wethers 355, m.s. hoggets 28s 3d, prime P.A. cows £8 Is and £7 18s 6d. prime Hereford heifers £6 10s and £6 ts, fat cows £5 10s to £6 10s, forward condition cows £3 16s to £4 16s, boners at late rates, 2-year empty heifers £4, good yearling heifers £3 2s to £3 18s, fair yearling heifers £2 to £3, small and low condition do. 23s to 37,5. Pigs: Porkers £2 17s and £2 Is, stores £1 14s to £1 15s, weaners 18s to 225. Dairy heifers: Good quality and condition £l7 to £lO, good heifers £7 to £9 10s, backward and low conditioned £4 to £6.
