LABOUR CONFERENCE
IMPORTANT GATHERING
BY CABLE—PRESB ASSOCIATION—COPYUIdHI LONDON, Sept. 17. At the British Commonwealth Labour Conference, organised by the Trades Congress, Britain and all her Dominions were represented. The agenda paper included inter-common-wealth relations, inter-commonwealth migration, treatment of native subject races, the Labour Pafty : s relations throughout the Empire, maintenance of the world’s peace, and the political and economic programmes of the Empire’s LaLour Parties. The principal speakers were. Messrs Poulton. (president), Ben Tillett, Sanbsbury, Davis (Under-Secretary for the Home Office), and Cramp (railwaymen). The proceedings were private, but it is understood that the speeches favoured the promotion of the inter-imperial Labour policy on subjects embraced in the agenda.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
