THE DAVIS CUP. AMERICAN TEAM FOR FINAL. BY CABLE —PB3SH ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, Sept. 9. The Lawn Tennis Association lias formally designated Tilden and Richards to represent the United States in the singles in the Davis Cup final against Australia, while Tilden and Johnston will engage Patterson and Wood in the doubles. The advancement of Richards to active playing meets with general approval in view of his Olympic victory and his excellent showing against Tilden recently.
