PLAY AT AUCKLAND. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 8. A four-ball match of 18 holes between amateurs and professionals was played yesterday afternoon, tlie professionals winning by a margin of two matches. Following are the results, the amateurs being mentioned first: J. Goss and J. L. Black and Moss and Mclntosh, all square;! T. H. Horton and K. Tareha and Hood and Shaw, all square; H. B. Lusk and R. D. Wright lost to Forrest and Butters, 1 down; A. E. Ekstedt and R. M. George lost to J. A. and C. C. Clements, 2 downj. H. W. McFarlane and C. A. Seymour lost to J. Galoway and Ritchie; A. E. Conway and J. J). G. Duncan beat Galoway "and and Blair.
