HAWERA OPERATIC SOCIETY.

“OTTl? MISS GIBBS."

Mr B. L. Toll has kindly consented to lend the Hawera Operatic Society the gold cup won by Cold Steel at the Taranaki Jubilee meeting held last February. This cup features a lot in the opera “Our Miss Gibbs,” which the Society are staging next week, commencing Wednesday, 17th. A gold cup, the Ascot Cup,, is stolen in the opera. It is said this is the first time a genuine gold cup has been used. The production of this opera is looked upon as being one of the best, awl the Haw'era Society- are to be commended for staging it. Those who wish to. make sure of seat's are advised to book early. Tire booking office opens at Everybody’s Sweet Shop at 9 o’clock on Friday morning.
