SERIOUS CHARGE.
ACCUSED PLEADS GUILTY
(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) RAETIHI, Sept. 5. Before Messrs P. C. Murray and Iv. Webster, J.P.’s, to-day, Alfred Allan was charged with incest. Detective Gourlay prosecuted, and after outlining the case the daughter, Constable McGowan and Detective Gourlay gave evidence. The accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to Wanganui Supreme Court for sentence. The offences : alleged were committed on the Wanganui river, at Te Kuiti, and at Masterton between 1918 and 1924. '
