RUN AT A LOSS.
TR AM FREIGHT CAR
, (IIY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. For a number of years the City Council has been running a freight car on the tram lines at a loss. Last year it was proposed to abandon the service, but strong representations, were made in favour of retaining it and promises of support were given. These have not been kept, and it is now understood that the service will be stppped.
