EXPULSION FROM CLUB
HONOUR VINDICATED

In the action Mrs Ann Henderson against the Pioneer Club, in which the plaintiff proceeded against the club for £250 for wrongful expulsion, Mr Justice Salmond recently agreed as to the wl-ongful expulsion, and ordered Mrs Henderson’s name to be re-enrolled as a member. The question of damages arose in the Supreme Court to-day. The club had paid £25 into court, and the judge awarded this as damages.
WELLINGTON, Sept. 4,
In the action brought by JHrs Henderson against the Ladies’ Pioneer Club the question of damages was reserved. Mr Justice Salmond has now decided that there was no ground for a claim against individual members of the committee, but only against the club itself, and awarded £25.
