(From Qui: Own Correspondent.) The weather of late has been of the best, with beautifully fine Avarm days. Frosts have been slight, and the winter just passed has been rather phenomenal with regard to the scarcity of frosts. Quite .a good, growth can now be noticed where pastures lurve had a reasonable chance. The new factory is open to receive milk, I understand, and will be a boon to the manager and staff, Avho have been Avorking under very adverse conditions for some time past, during the transferring of the machinery from the old factory.

The fancy dress ball held on Friday evening as a Avind-up for the season AA’as a huge success in all its phases. A large crowd turned out from all parts, including Mahoe, Cardiff, Stratford.' Mangatoki, and Eltham, a really good night being spent. Mr. Hunt acted as M.C., assisted by Mr. K. Mills. Mrs. B. Johnson (piano) and Wallace Sim supplied beautiful music. * The .fancy dresses were numerous and humorous, including: A. Piper (Giant), H. Thrush (Father Christmas), J. Perry (SHeik), J. Vincent (Jockey), W. Vincent (Courtier), Misses Carter (Pierette), A. Piper (Belgian Girl), K. Price (Miss America), E. Piper (Jazz and Frivolity), A. Sulzberger (Gipsy), E. Piper (Brigand), F. Naira (Italian Maid), Ivy Burkitt (Gypsy), D. Nairn (Night), M. Bre\y (Black Pierette), Miss Martin (Hiawatha), K. McNab (Jazz Costume), Eagles (Three Castle Cigarettes), _ I am indeed pleased to report that a Sunday, isehool has been started at LoAA-garth and will supply a long felt need. The district is indeed grateful to Miss M. Pease for coming forward to fill the position of teacher. It is to be hoped that the parents will see that the .attendance is kept up.
