At the annual meeting of shareholders in the Eltham Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Ltd., {o’ be held in the Eltham Town Hall on Wednesday, the'lOtli inst., the directors will submit the . following report:— In presenting the 32nd annual report and balance-sheet, your directors have.to report a successful year’s op-< erations. The average price paid for butter-fat during the year was Is 4.398 d per lb, and the balance in hand will admit of a further payment of I. per lb, making the total average for the season Is 5.82 d. Produce unsold at June 30 has been taken into account at a safe figure, and it is confidently expeetd that the final payment will reach Is 6d per lb. The retiring directors are Alessrs. J. L. Campbell; •J. G. Robertson and R. J. Linn. Messrs. Campbell and Robertson are eligible, .and offer themselves for re-election. Mr. Linn, who has left the district, does hot seek reelection. Your directors desire to place on record their appreciation of the valuable. services rendered to the company by Mr. Linn during his long term as a director. You will he asked to appoint an auditor and fix his remuneration. Air. Suisted has signified his willingness to again act in that capacity. STATISTICS. The following statistics are appended to the report, the comparative figures for the previous year being given in parentheses: Milk received, 57,476,1271 b (57,426,7291 b). Cream received, 224,9151 b (287,0981 b). Cream purchased, nil (64,9661 b). Butter-fat 2,382,882.611) (2,445,8814.411 b). Alanufactured.—Cheese, 2,536 tons (1,152 tons). Butter, 157 tons (795 tons). Whey butter. 56 tons (24 tons). Unsalted butter, nil (nil). Average tests. —Butter-making, 4.19 per cent. (4.20 per cent). Cheesemaking, 3.98 per cent. (3.78 per cent). Cream, 37.06 per cent. (39.01 per cent). Total average tests of milk, 4.001 per cent. (4.02 per cent). Pounds of • milk to 11b of cheesp 9.21 per cent. (9.59 per cent).
