Duet in character (boy and girl under 12) .—Lottie Colville and Kathleen Read (Christchurch) 1, Joan and Jackie Harris (Masterton) 2, Esne Evans and Kathleen^Chappie (Christchurch) 3. Shakespearean recital (ladies), “Portia’s Speech.”—S. Aitken (Invercargill) 1, Anita Winkel (Dunedin) 2, Mavis Halliday (Wellington) 3.
