Canadian exchanges just to. hand report that Private Desmond Burke, of Ottawa, who won the King’s Prize at Bisley, is still a boy, being in his 19th year. He matriculated from the Ottawa Collegiate Institute onlv last year. . V •

Private Burke was 17th man in the Canadian team for Bisley, and was quite a tyro at long ranges. When he went down on the' mound at Bisley he had only once before shot at 1000 yards. Canada has never sent a younger marksman to meet the Empire’s best.
