•MAY REFUSE AWARD DATES. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, Aug. 27. The Fanners’ Union Provincial Executive discussed in committee a proposal that shearers may not accept the award rate this season, and it was decided that fanners be advised to adhere to the award rate; also to circularise all owners annealing for subscriptions to a defence'fund.
