NEW YORK, Aug. 25. A telegram from Dallas, Texas, says that on anti-Ku Klux Klan issue, Mrs Miriam Ferguson has been nominated by a regular Democratic ticket for the Governorship of Texas. This is considered tantamount to the election in the State being strongly Democratic, in which case she will be the first woman Governor ever elected in the United States.

Mrs Ferguson terms her triumph as a. blow to the Klan, and announced that she would'oust all Klan officers from their positions if she is elected. She also sought nomination as a vindication of the family name, her husband being impeached for the improper use of State funds when Go vein or of Texas seven years ago. He conducted the speaking campaign on his wife’s behalf.
