BOXING.
ELTHAM ASSOCIATION. The followers of the sport of boxing will be pleased to note that the Eltham Boxing Association have imported a specially selected team of Wellington boxers to participate at their tourney at Town Hall on Saturday, August 30. The star bout of the evening will be the Mcßae v. .Pepperell bout of six two-minute rounds, Mcßae is at present heavyweight champion of New Zealand; L. Pepperell is a boxer who has improved out of all knowledge since last in the ring, and will give a good account of himself on the night. J. Crowley (Wellington) is set down to meet K. Hayward (Hawera) in a bout of six two-minute rounds. Both these boys are fit and well, and will provide a fight far above the average Arthur Duggan, the popular Hawera boxer, will meet E. Napier, of Wellington. Napier is a smart boy, and will have Duggan doing his best all the way. G. Jeffery (JVellmgton) will try conclusions with R. Wallis (Patea). These boys are evenly matched and will provide a splendid fight. W. Pearce (Wellington) has been matched with D. Mercer (Auroa). W. Lewis (Wellington) will meet George Gad© an in four twoin mute rounds. W. Brown (Wellington) will meet the fast improving Eltham boxer D. Smaller. Extra bouts for the evening are : McLaughlan v.' Cuff, Morgan v Midgley, and L. Hanson v. D- Me Whir ter. The popular Mr. Foley will be referee. Seats can he booked at Bluett’s.
