NEW PLYMOUTH TRAINING NOTES. Training at New Plymouth was on ® ide this morning, the task allotted being of the sprinting order. Lady Comet finished in front of Savoury over five furlongs on the trial grass in 1.5. Irapuka ran six furlongs on the slow, the last five in 1.4}. Empire Camp was too good for Roburant over three furlongs on the trial grass in 39}d. The 2-year-old half-brother to Birkie by Antagonist, who has been -named Aiiolo, and Patrolect ran a half-mile on the trial grass in 51}. Mountain Bell worked*usefully. Roburite, Stork and Wee Sandy finished in that order over half a mile in 50}. E. George’s 2-year-old by Nassau ran three furlongs in 40}. Hipo, looking very well, worked usefully, and ran home, doing the last two furlongs in 26. A. J. McFlynn has been engaged to ride Lady Ristori and Mountain Bell at the meeting.
