SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS. At the second term examination just concluded the following mentioned pupils of the Matapu School took places of honour: Standard Vl.—Vera Beech 1, Florice Seed 2, Tom Guy 3. Standard V. —Arnold Prestidge 1, Irene O’Sullivan 2, Phyllis York 3. Standard IV.—Hazel Cleaver 1, Edith Beech 2, Jim Prestidge 3. Standard lll.—Tom Daniels 1, Phyllis Beech 2, Ida Reid 3. Standard ll.—Douglas Prestidge 1, Nora Pratt 2, Sidney Cleaver 3'. Standard I. —Hazel York 1, Ronald Jackson 2, Norma Thomas 3. ' Primer IV.—Jean Thomas 1, Kathleen O’Sullivan 2, David Simpson 3. The school broke up on Thursday for the spring holidays, and will re-open on Tuesday, September 9. The various committees are working very energetically in connection with the forthcoming “Ye Old English Favre,’’ and, given fine weather, ’'this event, which is of such importance to the- school, should be a huge success.
