SUPREME COURT.
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The terms of .settlement in the case of the General Transport Co. v. W. R. Burgess were also announced and an order made, in accordance therewith (reports the Herald). The terms of the settlement were: 1. That the defendant consented to the injunction restraining him from entering into business, except that he should have the right to drive a delivery vehicle engaged solely for delivering goods of an employer, including any local body or Government authority not being a carrier or distributing agent or wood and coal merchant, or a person engaged in ta-\'i work of any kind, nor shall he do anv canvassing tor the New Plymouth Carrying Co., or any other similar company or carrier. 2. llie claim for damages and counter-claim ■ were struck out. •L Each party to pay its own costs. 4. '1 he plaintiff company abandons any claim to calls on 500 shares in the plaintifi company or any other shares in the plaintiff company. The defendant consents to and ratifies the eompany’s action in forfeiting his 300 shares jn the said com pan}'. 5. I rnler agreement for transfer of shares made with J. Hopkirk. the defendant abandons any right to redeem these shares.
