Last night, at the old Technical ochool, examinations were held to test .tlie progress made during the course of fn S . t « Ctl ? , \ A tlloo1 '. v paper was set toi the students, and each was required to make four dishes of various kinds, some for invalids and some for convalescents. Miss Earl marked the theory paper, and Mesdames W. Gilbert and R. Tait were the judges of the practical work. The results showed that the work generally was of a high standard and reflects credit not only on the instructress, but also on the nurses. The marks awarded were as below, the first being for practical and the second for theory, and the average given for both: Nurse Sage, 00, 90—90; Nurse Murphy, 90, 86—88; Nurse Lawrie, 75, 86—78; Nurse O’Dowd, 80, 73-76.5-Nurse Faragher, 70, 80—75; Nurse Carmichael, 70, 80—75; Nurse Grant, 70, SO—7s; Nurse Profftt, 70, 66—68. The figures represent the totals secured per centum.
