ANGLO-SOVIET AGREEMENT

Received Aug. 21 9.25 a.m. . CAPETOWN, Aug. 20. Replying to a question in the Assembly, the Premier saicl there had been no consultation by the Imperial Government with the Union Government rgearding the form of the AngloSoviet agreement as to the substance. He was, however, consulted regarding the insertion of a clause containing most favoured nation treatment in favour of the Dominions. —Reuter EXHIBIT AT WEMBLEY. Received Aug. 21, 10 20 a m . It is understood that the Union Government is not favourable to a continuance of its exhibit at Wembley Exhibition in the* event of next year on the ground of the diffioulty in obtaining the necessary financial support.—'Reuter.
