SI OABJjJI— PEtS* ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Aug. 18. 8.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 16. advices from London indicate tiiat tue Duke and Duchess of York wiiL piobabiy accept an invitation to 1 International Transportation Exhibition next June at l'eerskill, on the Hudson. Every effort is being made to hold the Duke oi York, Cup motorboat races during the festival under the auspices of the royal patron. The eelebiation will depict the progress of aerial, land and submarine transportation, including the observance of the centenary of the completion of the Rocket, the first steam locomotive built by, Stephenson. This will be brought hither by courtesy of the British Government. Meantime the American Embassy at the Court of St. James is proceeding with the formalities, and reports favourable progress.—Aus.-N Z Cable Assn.
