CALLOUS WOMAN.
PLOT TO MURDER HUSBAND. , DEATH SENTENCE PASSED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT PRAGUE, Aug. 15. ‘ A crime resembling the ThompsonBywaters murder a different sequel. Hilda Hanika, wife of a Czecho-Slo-vakian officer, coerced her cousin, Johann Besley, into murdering her husband. It was stated at the trial that she dominated and fascinated Besley, to whom she complained of her husband’s brutality. The woman procured a revolver and ammunition and fixed a time and a place for the murder, suggesting that Besley should, afterwards commit suicide.
The trial (resulted in Hilda being sentenced to death. Besley was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment, and Hilda’s mother to 20 years as accomplices. Hilda since the trial has given birth to a. baby girl, and has non been informed that the sentence will be carried out. An anonymous donor has given £l3O for the benefit of the child.
