COUNTY RATES SUBSIDIES.
NOT TO BE INCREASED. (By Telegraph—Special to Star.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. The Minister of Finance has informed Mr De La Perrelle that after giv r ing the proposal careful consideration it has been decided not to increase the maximum subsidy of £2500 payable under the Appropriation Act as * subsidies on county rates.
