Bowling for Surrey, Fenley took five wickets for 115 (runs. Sussex, in their first innings, made 165 (Gilligan 60), and in their second 148 against Kent, whose first innings realised 435 (J. Bryan 128, Seymour 76, Woolley 108.) Lancashire, in their first innings, made 209 (Makepeace 150), and in their second 180 (Hallows 50) against Essex, who made 180 in their first innings and seven runs for three wickets in theiir second. B&jwling for Essex, Ashton took 4 for 26 runs in the first innings and m the second Hipkin also took 4 for 26, including the hat trick. R. Tvldersley too four Essex wickets for 45. For Hampshire against Leicester, Mead made 101, and fee Leicester Taylor scored 123. For Yorkshire against Warwick, Sutcliffe made ninety-nine and Macaulay took 7 wickets for 66 runs.—Reuter. .
