Admiral de Chair, who commanded the tenth cruiser squadron under Viscount Jellieoe, and who has always been loud in his praises of his chief, said in effect: Viscount Jellieoe was the officer responsible for the success of the British fleet during the war. He made the fleet, and he was responsible for all the preparations that made the Navy (efficient. He was the inspiration of the Navy under him and the 'enthusiasm and esprit de corps that ruled.-—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
