APPOINTMENT LIKELY. “I think Admiral de Robeck is the man, I think he will be selected,’’ said the Prime Minister, when asked to discuss the reports appearing in two London newspapers to the effect that Admiral John Michel de Robeck is likely to be the next GovernorGeneral of New Zealand.

“I can’t say anything definite,” added Mr. Massey, “because as yet I have had no- official communication from London. But I think Admiral de Robeck’s appointment likely. Yes quite likely. And I think 1 can also say that such a suggestion would prove acceptable to the Government of New Zealand.
