FREEZING WORKS.
NO AGREEMENT. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) • WELLINGTON, Aug. 8. An agreement was found to be impossible in the freezing workers’ dispute before the Conciliation Council today. The meeting dragged on all the morning and afternoon in committee, and it was finally decided to send the award forward to the Court. Many of the points in the amended set of claims submitted since the adjourned meeting last W ednesday were agreed upon, but a- deadlock was reached over the matter of wages.
