Dunedinite He stands to-day as an all-round entertainer. Danny d’Alma, a Alusgrove celebrity artist, has a troupe of performing dogs, and they love their act, tor they love their master. D’Alma is a clown in this act, and he and his canines put on a turn that is a huge delight to the t and to tho clogs, too, judging hy pleased iail-waggi::g and playfid yapping. Signor Bruno Sarti, goldenvoiced tenor of famous Sistino Chapel Phoir, is possessed of a voice of bell-like clarity. Signor Sarti is ever a. favourite. It has been facetiously said of Don Stuart, the elongated magician, .k., l G he’s much longer, he won’t wait. He makes you believe that juggling is mere fakery, and while, you are laughing at his alleged exposure, ho ( h)cs , a !t a * n \ a, 'd. this time shows von that it is hard. He is a oast master in the art of legerdemain. Trla * Xewt°n is a charming scubrette and comedienne. A Wellington criticlias summed her up thus: “As charming as she is pretty, and one of the most joyous and versatile little ladies ever seen in New Zealand. Her scenes with Joe Brennan are too funny for words. Clare Solly, the duskyhaired Australian contralto, sings, smiles and makes a radiant vivid figure in her becoming gowns, for she, too, has a. sartorial sense that is wholly delightful. The Alton Sisters, who perform on the silver wire, are aerial ti apists of note. Tliei/r cleverness and grace in their wire-walking act is amazing.
