WORLD’S RECORD BROKEN. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WHANGaREI, Aug. G. A Jersey cow owned by Mr A. Christie, of Tanekaha, has broken the world’s record for the breed on twice a day milking. Vivandiere was six years old at the time of the commencement of her test, and up to July 31 she had produced 10231 b of butter-fat, and still had five days to go. It is estimated by her owner that she will finish with 10351 b. The cow was bred by her owner, and was got from Beachlands King—Pin Low. Her last three progeny have been bulls. These are still in tlie possession of the owner. The present record of 9971 b is held by Lady Superior, and was established last season. [Up to the end of the previous season Mr E. O’Sullivan’s (Tariki) Sultan’s Daisy held the record for Jerseys, twice a day milking, with 9GBlbs butterfat.]
